The Hilton Waikoloa Village

Once we had decided that we would leave Oahu and spend a few days over on the Big Island, I started to search for resorts through my business and was blown away by this magnificent property. We had to stay here!! It was not negotiable!!

The Hilton Waikoloa is a 62 acre oceanfront playground, set on the spectacular Kohala Coast of Hawaii, The Big Island. The Hilton Waikoloa Village boasts a stunning and very unique four-acre ocean fed lagoon, with a stunning white sandy beach. My favourite part of this ocean fed lagoon, teeming with beautiful reef fish and giant green sea turtles is that the lagoon is a protected sanctuary for these aquatic animals protecting them from their predators, you will see the giant green sea turtles swim in from the ocean, and It's a guarantee that you and the Children will have a field day snorkelling with these beautiful creatures. At one stage we counted 14 curious Sea Turtles. Not to mention the Paddle Boading fun......

The resort is so incredibly huge that it has it's own air conditioned monorail system and a fleet of beautiful mahogany canal boats to transport you from your desired destination (if required).

Take a cruise on the resorts canal boat...

The resort features 4 swimming pools complete with waterfalls and a whopping 17- foot waterside where you can have a blast. There is also an adults only pool, if you are after some tranquility and peace and quiet.

For the golfing enthusiast the resort features 2 championship golf courses and a seaside mini golf course which my boys had some fun on.

The Hilton Waikoloa Village is the type of property that you could spend a week at and not see everything. From Flamingo's, bird life and with a choice of 14 amazing Restaurants and bars, resort shops, It's just such a cruisey place to stay, you seriously won't want to leave. So if your headed to Hawaii...do your self a favour and discover the beauty of the Big Island....you wont regret it!
